Piper 28-235 Exhaust Parts The Piper PA-28 Cherokee series is a family of civil utility single-engine piston-powered aircraft, first introduced by Piper Aircraft in 1960 and is still in production today. With the first line of Cherokee's, the Cherokee 150 and Cherokee 160 (or the PA-28-150 and PA-28-160, respectively), production began in 1961; shortly after Piper added the Cherokee 180 (PA-28-180) powered by a 180-horsepower, Lycoming O-360 engine. The addition of all that extra power even made it possible for the Cherokee 180 to be flown to capacity with all four cabin seats filled, a feature that keeps this model popular on the used aircraft market to this day. Piper continued to make improvements to the cabin, landing gear, engine throughout the 60's and 70's and produced many different variants in the PA-28 series; today, the current models being produced are the Warrior, Arrow and the Archer TX and LX. Several Piper 28-235 models are used for flight training purposes all over the world and remain popular for air taxi and personal uses in the US as well.
